Mycorrhizals, the effect of inocular native mycorrhizal fungi on pea cultivation

9 November, 2020Clean Biotec

One of the many goodnesses of mycorrconic fungi, in particular those that give rise to endomicorrizas is to promote access to soil nutrients and therefore allow healthier and more productive plants.

The tests carried out by Clean-Biotec on the estate of Los Majuelos during last spring give a good account of this. Two groups of mycorred and uncorked pea plants were compared. During planting, the former were given native endomicorries prepared for it. Production yields were 34.8% plus mycorred yields with full fruit (sheath and seeds) and 39% more mycorred yields when we only compared the seeds. But, moreover, mycorred plants did not appear to have fungal diseases, unlike those not mycorred which due to rains in the second and third weeks of harvesting presented fungi in the leaves.

These results are detailed within the project “Cultivation and Application of Indigenous Micorriza for Horticultural Production in La Rioja” carried out by the innovation team Micorrizas, of which they are part, in addition to Clean-Biotec, El Colletero, Tomateco and Agrovidar. It is partially funded by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development through the Ministry of Agriculture and the Government of La Rioja.
